Season opens on October 1st. I recommend going to the Pyramid Lake website to get all the fishing regulations. You can also purchase your permit.

: Fall Fishing Right Around The Corner
Caples Lake: The water level is going down each day
Red Lake: The fishing has been slow
Blue Lake Lower: The water level is low, but a few reports of some decent sized rainbows
Indian Creek Reservoir: The lake has been deemed as a danger level for toxic algae
Topaz Lake: Fishing has been fair for anglers going deep for trout
East Carson River (CA): The water level is low and the fishing has been slow
West Carson River (CA): The water level in Picketts JCT is low and the temps have risen
West Walker River (CA): The river is still running good and clear
Bridgeport Reservoir: Issued a danger level for Blue Green algae
Heenan Lake : Heenan Lake is Open

Caples Lake: Fishing has been fair for boaters and shore anglers
Blue Lake Lower: The water level is low but the fishing in the evening has been fair to good
West Carson River (CA): Best areas have been from Woodfords to Sorensons
East Carson River (CA): The flows are back to normal and the water has cleared up
Heenan Lake : Fishing will be open on September 1st
Indian Creek Reservoir: Fishing the lake is not advised due to blue green algae
West Walker River (CA): Anglers have been doing very well in many areas south of the town of Walker
Topaz Lake: Fishing has been fair to slow
