Winter steelhead are showing up on the Siuslaw River

Winter steelhead are showing up on the Siuslaw River. Fishing has been slow early in the season but is starting to pick up again. The Whittaker Cr. drift will be the most productive through February. There should be good opportunity in the lower river as conditions allow.

Trout fishing in streams will reopen on May 22.
