Throughout the winter, Phillips Reservoir froze over. We have had reports that there have been some good trout coming from Phillips recently, and anglers also can find perch through the ice. Anglers should use caution and evaluate ice conditions as the ice may begin to thin especially near shore with warming weather.
The reservoir drained last year and is still quite low so anglers will need to walk down a ways to access the ice. Follow this link to see the Bureau of Reclamation website listing current reservoir levels.
Remember that tiger musky and bull trout must be released unharmed.
