White sea bass bit pretty well today at the Island. One boat scored 40 white sea bass. The Ultra had 4 white sea bass and a yellowtail when they slid into primary position on the white sea bass bite (Other boat that caught 40 white sea bass gave the Ultra the hot position) and unfortunately only caught a couple more before the white sea bass shut off. The 8 anglers on the open party overnight ended up with 6 white sea bass (25 pound range) and 1 yellowtail for 8 anglers along with a bunch of large calico bass. The Ultra has another trip leaving tonight at 9pm still has 3 spots open as of 3 pm July 19. Limited to 8 anglers at $240.

Captain Brian Blair just called in with an update on their 1.5 day trip. They are heading for home with 15 Yellowtail, limits of Calico Bass, and a nice afternooon bite on the White Seabass - 18 of them, up to 30 pounds! A great day for 8 anglers!
