The Fall river has been fishing well. It recently received a fresh stocking so there are lots of fish in the river. Nymphing remains the best method for all times of day and balanced leeches, jig leeches, red zebra midges, and small red rainbow warriors have been some top flies. BWO’s continue to hatch around midday and with the warmer weather coming up having some small chubby chernobyl or similar patterns is a good idea to imitate terrestrials. As always stripping small bright buggers is a fun way to fool some fish with the streamer rod. Don’t forget that the river below the Falls is closed for ten more days and opens up 5/22.
