EAST WALKER RIVER
The East is still running at about 1280cfs right now and is still off color. There has been a few anglers giving it a try even with these high flows, they’re searching out the "calmer" water and having limited success with streamers and a few nymphs. Fishing and wading with these high flows is very difficult, if not dangerous so if you do venture down there be very careful.

SCEIRINE RANCH
We haven't had anyone on the ranch lately, hopefully when the flows come down at some point we will have some good reports for you.

HUNEWILL POND
The pond fished excellent this week with good reports from all anglers who went out there. Most of the action this week was with streamers and/or leech patterns and soft hackles. There were lots of fish reported in the 1 pound range and a couple reported that were likely in the 5 or 6 pound range. The pond is in great shape right now so it's a great time to get out there! Give us a call if you want to book some time.

BRIDGEPORT RESERVOIR
The lake level has come up quite a bit on Bridgeport but it's still very low, the clarity has also improved but it's still very off color. They are catching a few fish here and there out there but it's overall been pretty tough. The folks who are having some success are mostly fishing from the shore with bait though we did talk to one angler who caught a bunch of perch and a couple rainbows casting Panther Martins from the dam. We haven't heard much from the boat anglers lately.

KIRMAN LAKE
We had a good news from Kirman this week with anglers reporting good numbers of fish in the 17 to 19 inch range as well as smaller ones. We haven't heard anything about cutthroat trout so far, all brookies. Most of the fish we heard about were caught on black leech patterns like wooly buggers and seal buggers. We were also told that there is a LOT of mud on the trail from Junction Reservoir to Kirman so be prepared for that.

TWIN LAKES
The action at the Twins is still very good with lots of pan-sized fish being caught as well as a handful of larger rainbows and a few browns. Nothing over 10 pounds that we've heard of lately but lots of nice fish. Bait anglers are using power bait, inflated crawlers, mice tails, and pinched crawlers, lure anglers are using Rapalas, Thomas Bouyants, speedy shiners, and Kastmasters. Fly anglers are having some success stripping streamers and leech patterns.

WEST WALKER RIVER
We haven't heard any rumblings about the West lately, the water is very high and off color so it will likely be difficult to fish for a while. We'll let you know when the conditions improve.

VIRGINIA LAKES
The Virginia Lakes Road has not been cleared of snow yet, it may be a while before the road is cleared and you can get up there, again, we'll let you know when it is accessible. We heard yesterday that the plows have cleared the road to about 3/4 of a mile from the lakes, it sounds like they will probably make it all the way this coming week. Hopefully after that, we'll know more about how much ice and snow are on the lakes.

If you would like to receive this report via email, drop me a line at reidfly63@yahoo.com and I'll get you on the list!

RANDOM INFORMATION: CA Highway 182 and NV 338 are all open and it sounds like they're not actually going to have to close Highway 395 up near Topaz to get the repairs done up there, we've heard they will probably have one lane traffic during the repairs.
Vehicles are getting stuck all over the place these days, most of the dirt roads in the area are still impassable, the ones that are passable are very muddy, rutted, and have lots of washouts from the snowmelt and floodwaters. Some of the impassable roads include Green Creek Rd., Summers Meadow Rd., Masonic Rd., Aurora Canyon Rd., Bodie Rd. If you're trying to get to places on these roads use caution.
