WHEN:
Press Conference/Rally 12:00 – 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 5, 2023
WHY:
California’s water management system is broken. This is especially evident in the Bay-Delta and
its watersheds. Communities across the state are facing environmental, health, and cultural burdens related to poor water quality and lack of river flows. California’s 2023 salmon season has been closed, which is negatively impacting jobs and families, and could have been avoided.
This Day of Action will bring representatives of tribal, environmental justice, fishing, and conservation communities and people from across California to support current legislation that puts California on the path to a sustainable water and salmon future.
