USGS Dropped to Summer Flows

We are now at our standard, 500 cfs-ish summer flows. Wade fishing will be good throughout the river. Watch for midge hatches in the afternoons to possibly bring fish to the surface. Otherwise an annelid/worm with midge pupa nymph ri is a good choice. Have a few flying ants in size 14-16 just in case.Annelids in 18-22. San Juan Worms, Egg patterns.

Midges 20-26: Black Flash Midge Pupa, Tav’s Big Mac, Bling Midge.

Dries: Griffith Gnat 18-22, Bunny Midge 20-24, Black Glitter Ant, CFO Ant 14-16.

Mayflies: Foam Wing RS-2s 20-24, Killer May 20-24

San Juan River : Flows will be up to about 5000 around June 1st and hold until mid-June
Arkansas River: It’s a weird start to summer
San Juan River: Flows are dropping, and nymph fishing might actually start to pick up
Piedra River: Falling Flows are dropping but it’s still pretty high
Los Pinos River: Below the dam, fishing will be better than above, but flows are up
Dolores River- Below McPhee: Dolores River Below McPhee Report
Dolores River- Above McPhee: Falling Flows are still high, dirty, cold
Rio Grande: The Rio is still in runoff season
Florida River: Runoff is subsiding above, but still high now
San Miguel River: High-water nymph rigs will be your friend
