Little Truckee River
Water Conditions
On the Little Truckee River between Boca and Stampede, cold and clear water is releasing from the bottom of the dam at about 150 CFS. This fishery can get busy at this time of year. If it ever feels overcrowded, don’t hesitate to find another river or reservoir to fish from and give these fish on the Little Truckee River a break. Flows are currently at 154 CFS on the Little Truckee River.
Tips for the Week
During these warmer months, the fish on the Little Truckee River are looking for the faster water which contains more oxygen. This will most likely be the case for the remainder of the summer. There are some fish rising mid day on the Little Truckee with hatches of pale morning duns and caddis occuring.
