The flows on the West are now fluctuating between 550 and 600 cfs and though we’ve had a few decent reports it is still pretty difficult to fish. There’s lots of water still coming off the mountain from snow melt and we’ve had some thunder showers this week that have muddied up the water for short periods of time as well. If you’re going to give it a try in spite of the higher flows, by all means be careful, it’s a very powerful river and you don’t want to be caught off guard.
