The current flow is 1300 cfs, and the average river temperature is 52 F, ‌

Anglers will want to focus on summer steelhead and trout fishing, although hatchery coho salmon are moving through now as well. The middle Rogue above Hog Creek is closed to Chinook fishing and anglers must also avoid disturbing spawning Chinook.‌

Summer steelhead are spread out, and fishing early is producing best results. An angler fishing standard steelhead flies on floating line fished near the surface had luck this past weekend. ‌

Current flow, temp and turbidity conditions for the Rogue can be found at the USGS stream gauges here, or checking the City of Grants Pass water page's river data here.
