Bridgeport Fish Report - Dec. 07, 2023
The East Walker on the California side of the state line is closed until April 27. 2024. The Nevada side of the river is open through the Winter. We’ve had a few reports from the Rosachi section in Nevada and the fishing has been pretty good, mostly with small midge patterns. The flow is at about 20 cfs which is normal for the Winter but still very low. No need to get out early as the best time to fish lately has been from about 10am to 2pm. Some patterns to try include: zebra midge, flashback emerger, copper John, pheasant tail, micro mayfly.
We haven’t had anyone on the ranch lately but it should be fishing well with mostly the same patterns as on the Rosachi section. If the weather is halfway decent it’s a good time of year to get out there!
The pond is frozen for now, we’ll let you know when it looks like it’s gonna thaw!

The West is open for fishing during the Winter, Only artificial lures with barbless hooks may be used, 0 fish limit. We haven’t had any reports from the West lately, I would say if you’re going to give it a try, try to pick out some of the more sunny areas that might be a little warmer as the fish might be a little more active in those locations.
