The Nestucca River is still around 8 feet at this time and is dropping slowly. It should be fishable by the weekend but will still be on the high side.‌

The Nestucca gets one of the North Coast's largest releases of hatcher winter steelhead and there should be a few around. Hatchery steelhead on the Nestucca are from wild broodstock and as such peak January through March, but there are always a few fish caught in December. River levels and predictions for the Nestucca are available here.‌
