The Crooked River was fishing well before the cold snap. With the recent cold spell it's best to hit the river during the warmest parts of the day and focus your efforts on the deeper, slower moving sections of river. Jigged leeches, zebra midges, anato-mays, two-bits, and worms have all been picking up fish. Bunny busters, leeches, and small sculpzillas are also fun and effective on the crooked and are a good idea during cold weather as lethargic fish can sometimes be convinced to move by a big meal. Keep an eye out for BWOs midday and midges hatching at all times.
