The current release from Lost Creek Reservoir is 1,250 cfs and the temperature at release is 44F. Expect releases from the dam to increase by this weekend. ‌

Chrome winter steelhead are around and numbers have increased as we move into March. Movement into the hatchery has continued to be decent. Fishing plugs on the rise is a good tactic. Lures, bait, plugs or flies are a good choice with the clear water conditions. Pressure has been light, so this is a good time to fish the upper Rogue without crowds. ‌

Anglers can call the Army Corps of Engineers at 800-472-2434 for an update on hatchery counts as well as flow and temperature information.‌

Make sure to check the Oregon Sport Fishing Regulations for each section of river before you head out. ‌
