Spring Chinook fishing opened on the Hood River on Monday, April 15. We haven't seen any Hood River spring Chinook PIT-tags come over Bonneville yet, and daily counts over dam are still low. The peak of spring Chinook fishing on the Hood will be around Memorial Day. ‌

Conditions are looking really good for steelhead fishing on the Hood River for the next week. There are fish throughout the system and the run is about at its peak near the mouth. ‌

Bait is allowed and bag limit is 3 hatchery steelhead per day
