In and around Dunsmuir the flows are still somewhat high, you won't be able to fish the normal stuff you can get to when it's low. There is still quite a lot of runoff and the clarity is not super. The upper end of the river has a lot of Salmonflies coming off now, you should be able to get them on some dries soon. You can get in and fish above Simms, the lower you go in the system the higher the water will be. Runoff will surge the flows each day with a lot of color being added as well. We would recommend a plan B if you are coming up to fish, the McCloud and Hat Creek are some great choices right now!
