The Lower Deschutes has been fishing well. Caddis have been abundant and nice hatches of PMD’s as well. Nymphing during the hot points of the day has been effective with pheasant tails, caddis, jig leeches, tailwater tiny’s, and perdigons. Swinging leech, crayfish, or sculpin streamers is also fun and effective on the lower. Utilizing tungsten beads or using a split shot or two is a good way to ensure you're getting a nice deep drift.
