The recent reports have a lot of grass beginning to foul on the bridges, use caution and center up in the current. The hatches continue with a Trico spinner fall early in the morning followed up by the PMD fall. The small Angler's Curse are coming off along with PMDs, Baetis and Callibaetis. Bring your Adams assortment from #22 - 12 to cover everything. Bring some CDC Trico Spinners and Hackle Stacker Tricos for the morning and for the PMD fall in the morning bring your Rusty Spinners in #16, the PMD Challenged or #14 Last Chance Cripple in Pink Albert for the hatch. For PMD nymphs, the Jignation in PMD has been producing. This is also a good time to swing and strip leeches when the dry bite dies off, the Pine Squirrel Leeches in brown and black are good choices. Water Boatmen are working too. For dries, you best chances will come in the morning with the spinners, and during the hatch probably around 10 or 11. If you would like to reserve a day with a guide this spring for some great dry fly fishing on California's finest spring creek, give Bryan or Chris a call in Outfitters at 800-669-3474.
