172lb Marlinon the @patriotsportfishing 3/4 day TODAY! Capt. Mike relayed an off duty crew member landed this afternoon during their 3/4 Day today after a 40min fight. It was caught on a trolling rod & trolling feather during their crossing to the island this morning & all passengers enjoyed the fillets!
Crew has been spotting lots of Marlin during the crossing to Catalina, and although our upcoming 3/4 days on the Patriot will not be heavily targeting Marlin fishing during their trips this week, based on the amount spotted, it’s likely that more Marlin could be caught off the coast this week.
They’ll be trolling with gear onboard during the crossing on the 3/4 day trips, and if they land more in the coming days, passengers will get a chance to fight the fish & share in the fillets if landed.
