Howard Prairie is 42 percent full. The reservoir level is a bit higher than it was at this point last year, and the boat ramp at the marina is open.

An angler did very well on trout casting a rooster tail near the dam in the last week. Trolling a wedding ring spiked with a worm or PowerWorm behind a small egg sinker should be productive, along with still fishing with PowerBait.
