Good numbers of salmon are moving into and out of the estuary on each tide. Boat anglers have been doing well trolling anchovies and flashers from the mouth up to the harbor entrance. The tide is key to catching these fish as the estuary is small and the salmon will move back into the ocean when the tide is low. The wild Chinook bag limit is 1 adult per day and 5 for the period of September 1 to December 31. Anglers should always check for updated regulations prior to fishing.
Anglers that see a game violation can report the violation to *OSP (*677) on a mobile device or call 1-800-452-7888. Anglers can also file complaints or potential violations concerning guides to the Oregon State Marine Board.
