High Flows Throughout South Fork

OR Department of Fish & Wildlife Staff

Report Date:

http://www.dfw.state.or.us

Fishing is generally best when flows are below 3,000 cfs. Currently they are almost 10,000 cfs, and with more rain in the forecast it is unlikely to improve any time soon. High flows are likely to persist throughout the fall and into December.

The deep drawdown upstream in Green Peter Reservoir is causing downstream turbidity issues. Turbidity should improve starting in January when water storage starts up again.
