Kilchis River Updates

The Kilchis River (up to Tilden Bluff Road Bridge) will close to fall Chinook fishing on Nov. 30. Until then there are fish in the river and the Kilchis is known for a late run of bright fish. The Kilchis, like the rest of the North Coast rivers, is blown out as of this writing but should drop into shape quickly and should be fishable by the weekend.

The adult wild Chinook daily bag limit for all Tillamook Rivers (Tillamook River and Bay, Kilchis River, Miami River, Wison River, and Trask River) is one fish in aggregate. No more than two adult wild Chinook salmon may be retained for the period in aggregate. See the regulation updates for more details.

The catch-and-release fishery for chum salmon CLOSED on Nov. 16. No targeting of chum salmon is allowed for the remainder of the season.

Cutthroat trout fishing closed Nov. 1.
