Good Access to Lots of Trout

This urban lake usually gets stocked from about Thanksgiving through May. The rest of the year anglers can target bluegill and bass. It will be stocked this week with about 2,000 hatchery trout. A few of the extra-large brood trout are likely still around as well As a reminder, only one fish out a 5-fish bag limit may be longer than 20 inches.

Walter Wirth is a 20-acre lake located within the City of Salem's Cascades Gateway Park with good access all the way around.
