Hatchery coho are returning to the North Fork Nehalem and fishing has been fair. Some fish are getting dark but we are still seeing plenty of bright fish coming in and opportunity to catch them.

The first hatchery winter steelhead have returned to the trap at Nehalem hatchery. It's early and numbers will be very low, but there's a chance.

With the hatchery coho run we are seeing on this river and the chance for an early winter steelhead this is the author's pick for fishing over the long Holiday weekend. See you out there!
