Barry Brightenburg's Fish Trap Lures is the latest contributor to the Accurate trip with Jack Nilsen and Bill Roecker, leaving for fishing tuna in southern waters April 28. All anglers aboard will get a sampling of Fish Trap plastic tails, and a few will also receive some Fish Trap iron jigs.

Fish Trap's latest hot items are some finless, tailless plastic baits that Brightenburg calls "jerk baits,"which can be fished with an offset hook for weedless action in the kelp.

Matt Salas called to say he was sending some additional jigs (Salas has already been most generous with the iron). He described them as "Heavier than a 6X Jr.,"but in the same size, in a dark skipjack color, with single hooks.

"They're perfect for wahoo,"said Matt. "I got all my wahoo on these jigs the last time I was fishing."

He said he would send enough to give one to every angler aboard the Q-105 on the upcoming 16-day trip. Lucky anglers aboard the trip will have enough iron to feed the "skinnies,"notorious for biting off terminal tackle.
