Hatchery steelhead is in full swing on the Alsea! After a shaky start due to weather, fish moved into the basin and have been migrating about. This past week the bite has slowed down, but fish are still moving throughout the basin. After the rains we got last week, we saw lots of fish push in, and the river will be fishable going into the weekend!

There's a lot of bank fishing access, and fish have been getting caught, near the hatchery holes! Drift fishing in the lower basin has also been productive for anglers in the Alsea Basin.
