Once we are past this unsettled weather the mayfly hatches will continue to increase through the month. A PMD spinner fall will happen in the morning, around 8 or 9, with the duns coming off beginning around mid day. Cloudy days will have Green Drakes coming off Fish will eat streamers and Balanced Leeches. Good flies for the PMDs are the PMD Challenged in #14and the CDC Biot Spinner in #18. There are a ton of good Green Drake flies, the main thing is to put one in front of the fish. Hat Creek: The upper riffle continues to fish well and the salmonflies are beginning to come off in force
Sacramento River - Lower: The third of three scheduled pulse flows was dropped on us Sunday
McCloud River: The tributary flows continue to drop and the river is in great shape on the top end
Pit River: Flows are dropping, but still high. Pit 3 below Britton is at 420 CFS and over 800 CFS through Big Bend
Sacramento River - Upper: The spring snow melt is happening and will be bumping the flows daily
Baum Lake: Some Callibaetis are beginning to come off and Damsels and Dragonflies are as well
Shasta Lake: Fishing on Lake Shasta continues to be very good
Lewiston Lake: The lake is a good option if you are in the area
Manzanita Lake: The lake is ice free and you can get in to fish it

Fall River: Good numbers of fish are in the upper reaches in and around the Spring Creek bridge and Zug Bug
Hat Creek: The upper riffle continues to fish well
Sacramento River - Lower: Releases for now are stabilized at 8,000 CFS
McCloud River: The tributary flows continue to drop and the river is in great shape
Pit River: Flows are dropping, but still high
Sacramento River - Upper: The spring snow melt is happening and will be bumping the flows daily
