Hot Creek has been fishing great with a good Baetis and Caddis hatch. The Baetis Have been hatching at 11 AM to 1 PM and the Caddis are coming off at 2PM to dusk. The Run-Off is starting to hit but it is not affecting the fishing as much as the weather. In the morning use a #16 Parachute Adams or #12-14 Royal Trude as the dry w/ a #22 BH Brassie, #22 Barr's Midge Larva in Cream or Olive, #22 Shuchin Midge as the dropper. For the Baetis hatch use #18 Hi-Vis or #20 Hilda Spring Creek Chute as the dry and a #22 Glass Bead Micro May in Olive or #20 RS2 Emerger in Olive. If you just want to throw dries use #20 Brooks Sprout Baetis, #20 BWO Cripple or #20 BWO Butthead Sparkledun.?? For the afternoon caddis hatch try #18Parachute Caddis in Brown or Olive and #20 Para Slick Water Caddis in Tan as the dry and #18 Micro Rockworm in Mint Green, #16 Nori's Caddis in Mint Green or #18 CDC Bubble Back Caddis in Tan. For other dries try #18 Hemingway Special or #22 Headlight Caddis in Tan or Olive.
