Trout fishing has really slowed down at each of the urban ponds. Some anglers are still catching a few rainbows, but the catch rate will continue to slow as daytime temperatures increase. Work water inlets or shaded areas where water temperatures might be somewhat cooler than other areas. Catfish have been stocked in each of the valley's urban ponds and will provide even the most ardent angler with a good fight. If night crawlers or stink baits don't do the trick, you may want to give small shrimp a whirl.
