GET ON THE WATER!!! Great weather and fishing for southern California anglers. Catalina has been kicking out White Sea Bass, and although the bite has been sporadic, those at the right place at the right time have been rewarded with seabass and even a big Yellowtail. Pete fished with Mark Wisch on the 44 Pacifica "Pacific Edge" Wednesday and Thursday and only connected with 1 seabass. Conditions were off a bit, but it roared right back this morning and boat are catching today. Down the coast in the flats area inside the Coronado Islands, there is a huge volume of Barracuda and Yellowtail in the area. Boats are catching both, but tough to get through the log size Barracuda to get the Yellowtail. Most successful method has been surface iron right on the spots of Yellowtail that pop up.
