IS SUMMER FINALLY HERE???? Signs of summer are all over. There was an epic White Seabass bite off Rocky Point earlier in the week that slowed with the boat pressure. Also good sea bass reports came from Newport, San Mateo, and La Jolla. Barracuda schools are spread from the boarder to the Huntington flats, and if you have anchovies certainly makes your chances of catching better. Calico bass fishing at Point Loma is on fire. Preserve the future of this great fishery by letting them go. Coronado Islands has clean blue water and the Yellowtail are biting, although with the volume of fish there, hopefully more of them will start to cooperate. Offshore, Bluefin Tuna fishing improved yesterday, but the weekend is calling for rough conditions offshore, so that could put them down again. Commercial Albacore fishing 250 miles southwest is great, let's hope that fish moves up soon.
