Report Date:
http://www.cortezcharters.comIn all the years I have reported fishing results for Mazatlan, I have
never had a fish report like this past week. Perhaps it's just a
"sign of the times" for the economy in conjunction with the off-year
for fishing results? Usually, September is very good offshore
fishing and produces excellent results with billfish, including
sailfish, black & blue marlin, but not this year. The boats sat idle
for most of the week, not getting out at all and when they finally
did, there were no fish caught. There was only a single dorado taken
aboard one of the super pangas for a single outing this past week and
no fish taken in the offshore areas.
Mazatlan Climate: Mostly cloudy days with temps from 77 nights to 88

Sea Conditions: Good water temps at 83-85 throughout the area but
considerable greenish tint to the waters out to about 20 miles or so.
Best Bait/Lure: None Reported.
Best Fishing Area: None Reported.
Bait Supply: Readily available, both live and rigged baits.
