Captain Temo Verboonen, reporting in for the independent sportfishing fleet, says, "The first 4 days was raining and then improving from there. The ocean has been rough to calm, depending on the day and the fishing remains at the 30 mile mark and beyond, as the waters change from green to blue. The inshore fishing was better in the area close to the white rocks and produced some bonito and green jacks". He adds, "It's not easy to go in close to the beach because of big wave activity and only a single 30 lb. roosterfish was taken close to the beach this period". Still, very few boats fishing and many of the boats are still performing their annual maintenance programs and getting ready for the beginning of the new season, starting next month".

IZ Climate: Mostly cloudy with plenty of rain, especially in the P.M. and night. Temps ranging from 72 nights to 91 daytime highs and humid.

Sea Conditions: Good temps, 86-87 offshore, but mostly dirty to off color greenish waters out to about 30 miles and beyond.

Bait Supply: Plenty of bait, both live and rigged baits, even through the full moon period.
