Report Date:
http://www.cortezcharters.comAccording to Captain Temo Verboonen, skipper of the "Secuestro De
Amor", the past week's fishing was very good, especially for
sailfish, marlin and dorado in the offshore waters. Temo says there
is an expansive area of live bait that runs throughout the area and
the fish are under the bait schools and anxious to bite. The main
concentration of fish are moving daily and the blue marlin, mostly in
the 300 to 400 lb. ranges, are readily available at about 35 miles.
"Seems like the next few weeks should be very productive for the
boats. The inshore areas are producing excellent numbers of Sierra
and jack cravelle and according to Temo, "It's a fly fisherman's
dream opportunity for superb fast action.
