Well,??we made it through Memorial Weekend '07! It was pretty busy over the weekend, some places fished really well, some not so well. Here's a quick run-down of what we heard!

The East Walker is still fishing excellent. Most anglers reported having good to great days on the river. The Cali side, as well??as the Sceirine and the Rosachi all fished well. There was again some dry/dropper action with??stimi's and madam X's??on top and WD-40 or??RS-2 droppers. Lots of different nymphs were working as well, like red headed stepchild, flashback emergers, bh swimming caddis, etc. We started getting some good reports on green colored nymphs??like serendipity's and rockworm caddis patterns. There's??been some good caddis hatches late in the afternoon/evening so??elk hairs and E/C caddis have been working well. The same type of stuff on the Nevada side, both private and public, have been working, it's??just a??lot less crowded.??

Bridgeport Lake??has still been a little hit and miss, though we did have several 5 to 7 pounders??come in this weekend. Most of the??good fishing was with bait out of boats, crawlers and power bait over in Buckeye Bay. There were also a couple locals that float-tubed over in the bay over the weekend with flies and they reported catching 6 or 8 fish a day on streamers like matukas and??seal buggers. All the fish they caught were very nice, mostly over??16 inches or so. I and expecting (hoping) the lake will turn on any day now, especially??for the midge??fishermen.??

The carp on Bridgeport are still not in the shallows too much. There were a couple guys in from Sonora over the weekend that reported finding some with their boat, they were able to kill 20 or so up to about 25 pounds but they said they were hard to find??and that there were not as many around yet as??usually.

Haven't heard any reports from Kirman this weekend, if anyone was up there and wants to let us know what happened drop us a line!

The Virginias are still fishing great. The bait anglers seem to be doing the best with the fly guys coming in a close second. I heard they put some nice browns in there last week too so that should be fun!??

Talked to one fly angler who spent the??entire day Sunday??on Upper Twin near the inlet. He was pulling streamers like olive matukas and some wooly buggers, said he caught and released around 70 fish!! Nothing too big but he said by the end of the day his arm was pretty worn out! Sounds like a great day!!

Now that it's mellowed out a bit I'll try to get the next report out sooner, especially if Bridgeport livens up!!??
