Heavy boating traffic associated with the holiday weekend kept many anglers at home or off the water. Those who went out picked up a few stripers, mostly on live shad. Tim Myers, president of the Nevada BASS Federation, said fishing for both largemouth and smallmouth bass has been very good in recent weeks. Much of the action has been coming in the bays and coves from Callville Bay to Echo Bay.
