Fishing conditions and Hatches: Red Hot. Clients are taking 30-40 fish in a full-day session. Spring is a happening. Warmer weather, warmer water, fish are moving out of slow moving water and the bite is now like from 8:30 to 4. Midges coming off early and again in the late afternoon. If you see some fish sipping, try a Griffith's Gnat on top besides nymphs subsurface. Huge BWO hatch midday. Bushes are full of them and sipathon ensues. A Caddis or two have also been showing midday so if you see some go to a fat Pheasant Tail - a perfect pattern to match the Caddis pupa subsurface.

Recommended Flies:
Nymph: Gray/black Optimidge #18, WD40s in grey or olive, #16 #18 Brassie, #16 Copper Zebra midges, #16 PT's and Hare's Ear's.
Dries: #16-#18 BWO Comparaduns and #16 Parachute Adams, Kauffmans Stimis, #10 Foam Hoppers , Extended Body BWO.
