BASS
The Bass have moved up tight and are inclined to bite. There have been plenty of catches between 2-3 pounds for largemouth and smallmouth alike with a few heft hogs reported this week. They are biting drastic on plastic. Senkos, drop shot rigged finesse worms and were the best for bedding bass. Swimbaits accounted for most of the big bass. Shellcrackers, Huddlestons, and BBZ's were the baits bringing in weight. Most bass have been caught within 10 feet of water on the points or along the dams. Shallow water fishing requires light line and flawless presentation to entice the bass.

TROUT
DVL saw a good week for stout trout. Nightcrawlers, mini jigs, powerbait, and trout worms were the most reported baits. Shore anglers seemed to do better than the boaters. The trout were caught in as little as 3 feet of water so light line is a must.

STRIPER
Striper fishing slowed down this week. Swimbaits like Lunker Punkers, Zplugs, Huddlestons, Spro BBZ's and LA sliders are the baits to choose. Stripers are always on the move, but the most consistent spots have been the west dam or near restroom 3.

CATFISH
Not many cats were caught this week. Rawson cove and the inlet were familiar spots to try. Most cut baits, nightcrawlers, or Hog Wild will catch the cats.

PANFISH
The panfish bite has not taken off yet, but as surface temps increase the fish will return to the shallows.
