Surface water temp: 60 - 63 degrees
Fish Plants: 2,000 pounds of Mt. Lassen rainbow trout will be planted on March 31st. (Trout plants are subject to change)
Lake Hours: 7:00am to 6pm
Weather: Temperatures have been in the 60's in the morning and rising to the high 80's in the afternoon.

BASS
Live on spawn! Bass up in the shallows and staged of the points. The drop shot is hot with morning dawn, prism shad, hologram shad, margarita mutilator, and oxblood worms. Brush hogs and lizards in watermelon and green pumpkin were reported heavily. Senkos and Ikas in watermelon or baby bass, made the hot list this week. Swimbaits are catching big weights also. Zplugs, BBZ's, Huddlestons, Triple Trouts, and Lunker Punkers are just a few of the big baits for bass.

TROUT
DVL is all about big trout. Nightcrawlers, mini jigs, and trout worms were the most reported baits. Shore anglers seemed to do better than the boaters. The trout were caught in as little as 10 feet of water so light line is a must. Robert Alberti of riverside caught a 12.99 pound trout fishing from shore with a watermelon brush hog.

STRIPER
The Lassen plant did little to revived the striper bite this week. Stripers are always on the move, but the most consistent spots have been near the marina or the west dam. Anglers have caught striper on swimbaits, either trolling as deep as 50 feet, or casting near the marina.

CATFISH
Not many cats were caught this week, but there have been reports of large schools in the marina cove and the third cove to the right of the launch ramp. Most cut baits, nightcrawlers, or Hog Wild will catch the cats.

PANFISH
With surface temps still low the panfish bite has yet to ignite, but in the coming weeks you should be able to get your fill of crappie and bluegill. Live worms, jigs, or a cricket will be the ticket.
