FINAL REPORT w/PHOTO~ The Pacific Dawn's "Seabass Special" started slow but finished with a flurry! Several fish boated between 14 & 30 pounds, average 20 pounds. They also hooked and lost a half dozen. Fishing shallow at the island the plastics turned out to be the key! Everyone fished hard, and after a mid-day rockfish dip, they moved back into the island and found they're target fish. The next "seabass special" departs Sunday at 10pm to fish Monday the 25th. Our other boat the Island Spirit had limits of excellent quality rockfish, 3 lingcod & 1 cabazon. The Island Spirit is running open party all week and through the weekend, and in fact called in a white seabass of its own this morning (Thurs 21st).
