With good weather on tap, we will likely spend some time searching for spring time big game like HALIBUT and SEABASS. (Last weekend's 1.5 DAY TRIP produced a 31 pound HALIBUT). After that, we will load up on quality Channel Islands Rockfish. On our 1.5 DAY TRIPS, we will find a nice comfortable anchorage; have dinner and a good night's sleep. We then start all over again at first light, typically putting in a few hours for big game before heading for home. We will arrive at the dock by noon, just in time for all to spend the holiday with family. What a weekend. We started out fishing Saturday at San Miguel Island with our regular Charter group put together by Charter Master Louis Lloyd. The weather was a bit dicey at first, but battling high winds, the Ranger 85 prevailed. Forging forth, after searching for squid at Santa Rosa, we found ourselves back in familiar territory at San Miguel Island.
