Smallmouth and largemouth bass are hitting in the Overton Arm. The fish are hanging out near structures and brush. Plastic worms fished on a drop shot rig and crank baits are enticing the fish. One pair of anglers reeled in more than 20 fish on Saturday morning. Striped bass have been pushing shad to the surface in the same general area. In the Vegas Bay arm, anglers continue to find good fishing for stripers on top water with lures and also with live shad. Box Car cove has been very productive during the past week or so.
