Trout fishing has picked up recently and those shore fishing around E Point and the Harveys area have done well with PowerBait and inflated Nightcrawlers. Several limits were brought in to the tackle shop, we saw many stringers with fish to 5 lbs. Trollers did alright when the weather permitted; lead core out to 3 to 5 colors coupled with dodger/crawler combos was the top producer.

Bass fishing was on the slow side as water temps sank to 63.5 degrees in most areas. There were some Smallmouth, and even fewer Largemouth. Those that were caught were biting on on creature baits and fly lined worms.

Still no sign of a steady crappie bite and only a handful reported. Mini jigs and red worms in the narrows accounted for most of those caught. Catfish also slowed some and only 9 were reported last week. Bow fishing for carp has been steady and double digit numbers are possible if you put in the effort. Redear and Bluegill were absent from the count.

Trout fishing has been fair, with most anglers coming in with a handful of quality hold-over rainbows. Still fishing in the narrows with inflated "crawlers or PowerBait" was the hot ticket, although there were some nice catches on trolled worms/dodger combos behind 3 to 4 colors of lead core. Crappie still have not completely gone off as of yet, but there was as many as 10 fish per angler in some locations. However those locations were not disclosed. ......
