http://www.kenssport.comThe East Walker. If you haven't fished it this season, you're missing out. That's it in a nutshell. I can't remember the last angler I spoke with who didn't have a good trip down there. The dry fishing has been excellent lately, as well as the nymphing. For dries it's anything from small parachute adams, extended bodies, E/C caddis and elk hairs to larger stimulators, madam X's and hoppers. Sometimes they're on the dries all day and more so into the evening, and sometimes you have to go to the bottom with nymphs during the day and hit the surface later in the afternoon. Productive nymphs have been z-wing caddis, buckskin caddis, deep sparkle pupa, wd40's, zebra midges, silver streaks, hotwire may's, among others. I've gotta say, if you have the chance to get on this river, do it. All morning today we've been hearing about a huge hook-jawed brown that was caught and released yesterday evening, the first 3 guys that said they saw it said it was right around 29", other reports say it was definately over 24". Not sure who caught it but everyone who was on the river last night is pretty excited about it! Hopefully we'll get a photo of it from the angler who caught it, if so I'll pass it on!
