Drifting nightcrawlers for trout in 20 to 25 feet of water has been the best way to find rainbows. Although trolling three to five colors of leadcore with dodger/crawler combos is still working for some.

Bass bite has improved and largemouth are taking a variety of baits, from jigs to senkos and blades. Fish are still in the first ten feet of the water column.

Crappie are in the narrows, and trolling small roostertails helps to find the fish. Trolling mini jigs was also a good way to go.

Catfish action perked up as well, using cut mackerel in shallow coves resulted in cats to 6 lbs.

Bow fishing for Carp has been very good and double digit numbers were easily obtained in the narrows. Early morning was the best time as the buglemouths are feeding on the top.

Redear and bluegill were absent from the count this week.

You can still get a bite in the Harveys area on inflated worms and PowerBait. But you need to use a light line and 5 to 6 foot leaders to be successful. The Bass bite is slow, but a few smallies and......

Several limits were brought in to the tackle shop, we saw many stringers with fish to 5 lbs. Trollers did alright when the weather permitted; lead core out to 3 to 5 colors coupled with dodger/crawler combos was the top producer. Bass fishing was on the slow side as water temps sank to 63.5 degrees......
