http://www.excelsportfishing.comHello Anglers, We departed San Diego this morning at 1030 with a nice load of mixed sardine and mackerel. This trip is the last long trip of the season and it is a 16 day trip that we are heading to the Hurricane bank on. We have 23 anglers on board and unfortunately we are not blessed with the presence of Al Scow, Dan Felger, Andy Markum, and Jerry King who all could not make it because of other engagments. Jerry King did send us a care pakage of bait scoops, trolling straps, and stainless gaff hooks which we can definatley use, thanks Jerry. Our boatwork went very well with three brand new air conditioners for the galley, aft stateroom, and fwrd stateroom compartments. We put dripless shaft packings on all three shafts, painted three of the six compartments, painted the hull, bait tanks, bullworks, and upperdeck bullworks. There is a couple of fresh coats of varninsh on the rails which trimmed the new paint out beautifully. We are all excited to get back on the water and for anybody interested we have spots open on a 5 day trip leaving on May 20th and with the sign of bluefin, albacore and yellowtail already present, it is a great opportunity to get some early season fishing in. Wish us luck on the trip. Shawn, Justin, Jordan, Mike, Joe, Brian, Jason, and Shane
