http://www.excelsportfishing.comHello Anglers, Today we spent all day in search of the elusive bluefin tuna. When we woke up we had choppy weather and as the day progressed so did the weather. There was not much of anything going on until late afternoon when we hit a school of bluefin. We had 80 to 100 pound fish racing through the corner and we only hooked one and lost it at the gaff. While we were drifting on that school we also picked up 25 yellowtail to 25 pounds. The next school we hit boiled good but did not bite.We finally found a big school of bluefin that we hooked 3 bluefin and 3 bigeye and we got the big eye but lost all of the bluefin AND THAT WAS OUR DAY, .choppy weather and not much luck on the big ones. The picture that I am sending is of James Bringhurst and a bigeye he caught on a sardine and 60 pound line.Tomorrow we are going to be at Guadalupe to try for some yellowfin and wahoo. Hello Anglers, Today we concentrated on albacore and bluefin all day. We basically had three stops to get what we needed for the day. Very mixed up grade of fish from 17 to 35 pounds and everything in between. We also picked up 1 bluefin along with the albacore and it was 35 to 40 pounds. The second half of the day we looked for big bluefin but never saw any. Tomorrow we are going to spend the day looking for big bluefin......
