http://www.excelsportfishing.comHello all, We started our trip 200 miles from Pt. Loma today in a area where we have seen both albacore and bluefin. The weather we had was very good weather in the morning and afternoon hours and that made it easy to see jumpers and spots of fish on the surface. We had a few stops on albacore in the morning and they would come right to us and then after a few minutes they would back right off. There was a little action on a few kelps as well today with our first kelp that we fished we picked up 12 bluefin from 25 to 40 pounds, about the same on the big albacore, and 10 nice yellows in the 15 to 24 pound range. Around lunch we had a stop for 45 bluefin to 45 pounds and some albacore to 35 pounds. Our last drift started on a kelp paddy and we picked up some more albacore and smaller bluefin and with that we hooked 9 of the big bluefin and landed 3 of them that were 110 to 120 pounds. Tomorrow we are going to try this area again and see if we can put together a day.The first picture that I am sending is of James Deshazo and a 115 pound Bluefin he caught on a flylined sardine and 60 pound line.
